General Health Checks and Sick/Injured Pet Consultations

If your pet is sick or injured or you would just like a health check performed, we can come to you. We can help with arthritis, allergies and other skin, ear and eye ailments, minor injuries and lameness, and many more common complaints of dogs and cats.
Please note that due to legislation surrounding mobile veterinary practice, we are unable to perform any procedure that requires a general anaesthetic, including routine desexing. Should the need for such a procedure arise however, we would be more than happy to discuss the options you have available to you.

Quality of Life Assessments

If you are not sure of your pet’s quality of life, we can attend to your pet and assess their health, mobility, and comfort. While we do not offer the complete service one would receive within a veterinary clinic, we can provide qualified advice, including medication options that you can discuss further with your regular vet. Alternately, we can provide a script or some basic medication if you don’t have a regular clinic. Our focus is on the health and happiness of your pet and your ability to attend to their needs. We will not push you to follow one path or another. Should you go ahead with euthanasia, we can usually provide this service during the same appointment, depending on the circumstances. A portion of the Quality-of-Life assessment fee will be deducted depending on the time invested before undertaking euthanasia.

Heartworm Prevention

The most effective and convenient way to prevent heartworm disease is by a yearly heartworm prevention injection. We offer yearly injections as well as monthly prevention options to suit your needs.

What is heartworm?

Heartworm is a microscopic parasite that can infect your pet through a mosquito bite. An infected mosquito can inject the larval stage under your pets skin. These then mature in the pets organs for about 6 months, traveling through the body to the heart and lungs. These mature worms breed and produce microfilaria (baby heartworm) which go into the pets bloodstream which are then drawn up when a mosquito feed, continuing the cycle.
